My Client, who is an MSP, is looking for an IT Field Engineer to join their growing team. The role is office-based with field travel as required. Client site attendance for support and project work when necessary, and a company van provided for work use. Role Overview As an IT Support Field Engineer, you are primarily office-based, providing technical support to business clients. You handle day-to-day support, escalations, and coordination with the service desk, attending customer sites only when remote resolution is not possible or when required for project and infrastructure work. You act as a dependable support resource, balancing office-based support delivery with targeted onsite visits. Key Responsibilities • Provide IT support to business clients from the office as part of the support team, • Resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues remotely, • Attend client sites when required for support issues that cannot be resolved remotely, • Carry out onsite work for projects, installs, refreshes, and infrastructure changes, • Install, configure, and replace PCs, laptops, printers, and peripherals, • Support Windows 10/11 desktop environments, • Assist with office moves, refresh projects, and new site setups, • Work from service desk tickets and scheduled site visits, • Escalate complex issues to senior engineers, • Maintain clear job notes and documentation, • Communicate clearly with users and customers Required Skills and Experience • Experience in an IT support or field engineer role, • Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11, • Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, Wi-Fi, cabling), • Microsoft 365 user support experience, • Confident with hardware installs and fault finding, • Comfortable working in an office-based support role with occasional site visits, • Full UK driving licence Desirable Experience • MSP or multi-site support background, • Active Directory user administration, • Printer and multi-function device support, • Exposure to small IT projects What You Get • Office-based role with structured support environment, • Company van for work use, • Tools, equipment, and fuel provided, • Competitive salary based on experience, • Pension and paid holidays, • Training and progression opportunities Working Hours Full-time, Monday to Friday Core business hours Occasional out-of-hours work may be required Only relevant candidates will be contacted
