About The Role: As a Business Change Associate, you will be accountable for ensuring change is clearly understood, effectively embedded, and delivers intended business outcomes across your assigned line(s) of business. You will work closely with programme and project managers to engage stakeholders, build readiness, and support the adoption and sustained use of new processes, systems, and ways of working. You will lead Change and Engage activities across your assigned lines of business, applying a structured change management approach to shape, plan, and deliver change interventions. This includes assessing business and people impacts, developing and executing change strategies, and establishing clear measures of success. Aligned to specific business areas or functions, you will diagnose and address gaps in awareness, desire, knowledge, ability, and reinforcement, tailoring interventions to support different stakeholder groups. You will enable leaders and people managers to fulfil their change leadership roles, coach sponsors, build effective change networks, and actively identify, track, and address resistance. Working in partnership with Project Managers and Business Opportunity Managers, you will embed change activities into project plans, drive clarity on why change is required, and ensure sequencing supports business readiness—particularly through critical delivery milestones. You will also support the preparation of Steering Committee and Decision Review Board materials, contributing concise, compelling narratives that support informed decision making and alignment. Through this role, the Business Change Associate plays a critical part in ensuring the project delivers lasting change, improved capability, and measurable business value. Your Background Needs To Include: • 10+ years’ experience in change management (regulatory, process, systems, behavioural change) on complex transformation projects or programmes, ideally in Energy or Trading organisation., • Proven experience in delivering and embed sustainable change in complex matrix environments., • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (or equivalent work experience)., • An expert in change management methodologies and tools in order to drive both behavioural and mindset changes., • Knowledge and/or competence in Trading, Supply, Risk, Compliance, Process, Data, or Systems., • Delivery-focused, able to drive outcomes in ambiguous, fast-paced and complex matrix environments., • Consultative and persuasive, able to negotiate and drive alignment., • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing - able to engage, build relationships, influence without authority, manage conflict and navigate pushback as well as demonstrate listen and empathy to those going through change., • Communication - Excellent communicator and presenter. Skilled in storytelling and creating compelling presentations., • Quick to assimilate and learn with a passion for trading and supply businesses in the energy sector, • Role models agility and resilience; encourages others to embrace change. This needs combining with a positive attitude and an ability to work within a large, globally dispersed project team in a multi-cultural environment. You also need to be a self-starter, a logical thinker and a quick learner, with strong initiative and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to write clearly and concisely.
