You'll have responsibility for programme, commercial performance, client relationships, safety and delivery outcomes, supported by a highly experienced team of engineers, planners, commercial specialists and operational leaders. The Role As a Project Manager / Senior Project Manager, you will take end-to-end ownership of assigned projects across our Grid, Solar and BESS portfolio. You will lead the successful delivery of projects from design coordination and procurement through construction, commissioning, energisation and final handover. Managing multiple schemes simultaneously, you'll be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards. Project values typically range from £500,000 to £15 million+, with opportunities to work on increasingly complex and strategically important infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities Multi-Workstream Project Delivery • Lead the turnkey delivery of HV infrastructure projects across Grid, Solar and BESS workstreams, • Manage projects from pre-construction through commissioning and energisation, • Coordinate multidisciplinary delivery teams including engineering, commercial, planning and operational functions, • Ensure project objectives are achieved across safety, quality, programme and commercial performance Leadership & Site Delivery • Provide visible leadership across all project activities, • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement, • Lead project teams and subcontractors to achieve successful project outcomes, • Drive performance through proactive planning, communication and problem solving Safety & Compliance • Champion TMS Grid's zero-harm culture, • Act as a senior leader for site safety and compliance, • Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations, industry standards and company procedures, • Lead investigations, lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives where required Temporary Works Management • Oversee Temporary Works activities including:, • Crane pads, • Piling platforms, • Temporary access roads, • Construction support infrastructure, • Ensure compliance with BS 5975 requirements, • Coordinate Temporary Works designs, approvals and implementation ICP & DNO Engagement • Manage technical interfaces for contestable connection works, • Build strong working relationships with DNOs, IDNOs, National Grid and key stakeholders, • Coordinate design approvals, outages, commissioning and energisation activities, • Support successful grid connection delivery from concept to energisation Commercial & Contract Management • Manage project budgets, forecasting and cost control, • Lead change control, variations and commercial risk management, • Monitor project profitability and contractual compliance, • Ensure timely procurement of critical long-lead equipment including:, • Transformers, • Switchgear, • Protection systems, • Inverters and BESS equipment Client Relationship Management • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and developers, • Lead project review meetings and progress reporting, • Build trusted relationships through transparency, professionalism and delivery excellence, • Manage stakeholder expectations and drive client satisfaction Continuous Improvement • Challenge existing processes and identify opportunities to improve project delivery, • Escalate risks and concerns proactively, not reactively, • Help shape and strengthen project management standards across the business, • Contribute to the development of future delivery strategies and best practice What We're Looking For We are seeking ambitious infrastructure professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to be part of a business with significant growth plans.
