Field Service Engineer – Chelmsford / Harlow basedUK-Manufactured, Intelligent Parking Solutions Company£30,000–£36,000 + First-Time-Fix Bonus | Permanent | 40 hrsCompany Vehicle, Fuel Card, 25 Days Holiday (+BH), Pension, Life Assurance, Healthcare, Full Product TrainingThe OpportunityWe’re supporting a market leader in intelligent parking solutions as they expand their Field Service Engineer team across the UK!This role is ideal for a hands-on, self-motivated, multi-skilled engineer with experience working on electromechanical, low-voltage, or security/automation systems. The company designs and manufactures their own parking technology in the UK, including: • Ticket kiosks and payment terminals, • Barrier and access control systems, • ANPR/CCTV camera technology, • Embedded PCs, printers, touchscreens, and industrial switchesFull product training is provided, making this a strong step for engineers from CCTV, alarms, ticketing, vending, or car park equipment backgrounds who want to develop in a specialist, future-focused industry.The RoleAs a Field Service Engineer, you will:, • Carry out repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance on parking and access control systems, • Work on a range of hardware including cameras, kiosks, barriers, PCs, printers, touchscreens, and Moxa switches, • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and software-related faults, • Install, terminate, and test cabling, • Work safely around power supplies and low-voltage systems, • Support installation and upgrade projects when required, • Manage your own workload independently across Essex, • Deliver a professional, customer-focused service at all timesField Service Engineer Experience RequiredYou must have experience in a field-based service or maintenance role involving hands-on work with electromechanical or low-voltage systems, ideally including:, • CCTV or ANPR systems, • Alarm or security systems, • Ticketing or vending machines, • Car park equipment (barriers, pay stations, access control), • Intercom or access systems, • PC-based or software-driven hardware, • Cabling, terminating, and basic electrical workNote: Pure IT/networking or ATM-only backgrounds are not the right fit for this role.Field Service Engineer Skills & Competencies, • Confident working with hardware, cabling, and low-voltage electrical systems, • Ability to diagnose faults across electrical, mechanical, and software components, • Comfortable working around power supplies, • Able to read wiring diagrams and technical documentation, • Strong customer service and communication skills, • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently, • Full UK driving licenceField Service Engineer Desirable Qualifications, • ECS card, 18th Edition, PAT testing, or similar electrical qualification, • Networking fundamentals (CompTIA, Cisco, HND etc.), • Experience with industrial switches (e.g., Moxa)If you’re a hands-on Field Service Engineer with experience in CCTV, alarms, ticketing, vending, or car park systems and want to join a growing UK manufacturer, apply with your latest CV and I’ll be in touch to discuss the next steps.Dom @ Utilise Recruitment .co .uk
