The Role • To investigate, negotiate, and resolve marine claims in accordance with policy terms and conditions, best practices, and service standards., • To maintain accurate and timely records of claims data, correspondence, and financial transactions in the claims system., • To communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders, such as clients, brokers, underwriters, surveyors, lawyers, and regulators., • To monitor and manage claims reserves, payments, and recoveries, ensuring compliance with internal and external guidelines and regulations., • To identify and report on trends, issues, and opportunities related to marine claims, and propose solutions and recommendations., • To participate in claims audits, reviews, and training, and provide feedback and support to colleagues and managers., • To keep abreast of market developments, legal updates, and industry best practices in marine claims., • To perform any other duties as assigned by the Marine Claims Manager or senior management. About You • Experience in handling marine claims, preferably with an insurance company, Lloyds Syndicate or a Lloyds broker., • A relevant professional qualification, such as CII, ACII, or AMIM, or working towards one., • A sound knowledge of marine insurance products, policies, and markets., • A strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with attention to detail and accuracy., • An excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse stakeholders., • A self-motivated and proactive attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team., • A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to cope with changing priorities and deadlines., • A proficient in using MS Office applications and claims systems.
