    Summary: We are seeking a diligent and organised Prep Chef to join our team at our open kitchen. The Prep Chef will play a crucial role in ensuring the kitchen is fully prepared for service each day by efficiently completing the prep list. This role requires attention to detail, culinary skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: 1. Review daily prep list and prioritize tasks accordingly., 2. Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meats, and other food items according to recipes and portion sizes., 3. Organize and maintain a clean and orderly kitchen workspace, including storage areas and equipment., 4. Assist in receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies., 5. Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service., 6. Follow proper food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times., 7. Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or discrepancies to the kitchen manager., 8. Assist in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen before and after service., 9. Communicate effectively with kitchen team members and management regarding any issues or concerns. Requirements: 1. Previous experience working in a kitchen environment, preferably as a prep cook or similar role., 2. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary principles., 3. Ability to work efficiently and multitask in a fast-paced environment., 4. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills., 5. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities., 6. Flexibility to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM., 7. Food handler's certification or willingness to obtain one.
