Overview We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our team and provide a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children aged 0–5. The successful candidate will work in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), promoting each child’s learning, development, and welfare while upholding high safeguarding standards. Key Responsibilities Safeguarding and Welfare • Follow all safeguarding policies and procedures in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and Working Together to Safeguard Children., • Immediately report concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)., • Maintain a vigilant and proactive approach to children's well-being., • Support children’s development through planned and spontaneous play-based activities., • Observe, assess, and record children’s progress in line with EYFS requirements., • Provide inclusive, child-centred care that meets the needs of all backgrounds and abilities., • Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and engaging. Communication and Teamwork • Build respectful, professional relationships with children, parents, and colleagues., • Keep parents informed of their child’s progress and any concerns., • Follow all health, safety, and hygiene procedures as set out in nursery policies., • Conduct risk assessments and daily checks as required. Professional Development • Take part in regular training and reflective practice., • Stay informed about current legislation, EYFS updates, and best practices. Requirements • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare (required), • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply), • Strong understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding responsibilities, • Good communication and organisational skills, • Paediatric First Aid certificate (or willingness to complete) Pre-Employment Checks All offers of employment are subject to: • Enhanced DBS check, • ID verification, • Right to work in the UK, • Two satisfactory references, • Confirmation of qualifications
