The traineeship is completed in 4 easy steps, Step 1 - IOSH - Managing Safely Here you will learn about the basics of health and safety. Step 2 - NEBOSH Now you will decide whether you would like to study the NEBOSH General, Construction or the Fire Safety course, depending on the path that you intend your career to follow. You will have an expert tutor on hand if required. Step 3 - Risk Assessments You will write a series of risk assessments that need to be up to a workplace standard. This is a requirement to gain your NEBOSH certification. Step 4 - NEBOSH Exams The exams can be sat in one of the official NEBOSH testing centres, or online. (Online only currently available for general certificate). Your Job Upon Completion Once you have completed all of the mandatory training and exams, we will place you into an entry level health & safety role as either a advisor, officer or coordinator, where you will be guaranteed a starting salary of £25K-£45K. We have partnered with a number of large organisations strategically located throughout the UK, providing a nationwide reach of jobs for our candidates.     Apple Care is a family-oriented company looking to recruit a Children’s Senior Care Practitioner for our therapeutic home.We started as foster carers in 2004 and, after a decade of fostering, identified gaps in the care system where the well-being of children and young people was not always prioritized. We are dedicated to making a positive impact and providing a nurturing, safe, and supportive environment where children feel loved and cared for. At Apple Care Group, we specialize in working with children and young people aged 8-18 who have experienced early life trauma, neglect, or abuse, and who may face emotional and behavioral difficulties. Responsibilities: • Lead shifts by coordinating Residential Care Practitioners and managing shift events., • Ensure risks are safely managed in line with company policies and procedures., • Effectively communicate with the incoming staff team, providing a thorough account of the previous shift., • Act as the case holder for designated children while supporting allocated Key Workers., • Prepare written reports and documentation reflecting the progress of adolescents for planning meetings and reviews., • Set up, coordinate, and review children’s files, care plans, risk assessments, behavior management plans, healthcare documentation, and more., • Ensure the health and safety of all children, staff, and visitors during your shift, and report hazards in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act., • Undertake relevant training to enhance your role., • Attend staff meetings and act as a positive role model for children during meetings., • Contribute to direct work sessions (both individual and group) to achieve optimal outcomes for the children., • Address behavioral challenges from adolescents in a calm, non-confrontational, and constructive manner., • Contribute to educational meetings for the young people. Salary: £14 - £16 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications. Working Hours (Shift Work): Long days, Early, Late, and Sleeps. Requirements: • Enhanced DBS check., • Must be aged 21 or over., • Full Driving Licence and able to drive (Preferable)
