Role Purpose We are growing our culinary team at Rhubarb Hospitality London Events.We're looking for an experienced Production Chef to help deliver exceptional food for high B&I sites, working as part of a talented culinary team that supports operations across London. This is an excellent opportunity for a chef who enjoys large scale production, thrives in an organised environment, and takes pride in delivering consistently high quality food. What you'll be doing • Supporting the preparation and production of food for a wide range of premium events and hospitality experiences, • Ensuring all food is prepared to the highest quality, presentation, and food safety standards, • Working closely with the wider kitchen team to deliver efficient and accurate production schedules, • Assisting with stock management, food rotation, and maintaining organised storage areas, • Following recipes, specifications, and production plans to ensure consistency across all menus, • Maintaining excellent food hygiene, health & safety, and cleanliness standards at all times What we're looking for • Previous experience working within a production kitchen, events catering operation, or high-volume kitchen environment, • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen best practices, • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, • A positive attitude and strong team-working skills, • Passion for food and delivering exceptional hospitality experiences Good to know This role offers £20 per hour + holiday pay plus a comprehensive benefits package, including 40% discount on food and beverage, meals on duty, and ongoing training and development opportunities. The work will suit chefs who are comfortable leading teams and running events from start to finish. From Job sheet to Function. Managing the kitchens, running the pass, ensuring plate presentation and garnishing are at the highest level. Pay Range • Rate per Hour £19.63 (£21.51 Inclusive of Holiday) to £28.00 (£31.38 Inclusive of Holiday), • Sous Event, Lead Chef, Senior Lead and Head Event chef Roles, • Rate depends on clients, projects, and function size., • Weekly Paid Times of Work -Monday to Friday -7.00/8.00 am till 4/5 pm + Evening Functions -Some Weekends – To Support Functions, i.e. Weddings Key Responsibilities: • Manage and control food production and preparation for events., • Supervise the team of chefs on site, • Work on and Lead events, mainly within London but occasionally outside of London., • A driver's license is preferable. As one of our senior chefs, you'll play a key role in maintaining kitchen standards and, in the absence of the Kitchen Manager, act as the second-in-command, helping lead the team and ensuring service runs smoothly. The Role As a Line Cook, you'll be responsible for preparing and cooking food to company standards while maintaining speed, consistency and presentation during busy services. You'll support the Kitchen Manager with day-to-day operations, supervise junior kitchen staff when required and ensure all food safety and hygiene procedures are followed. Key Responsibilities Kitchen Operations • Prepare and cook menu items to company recipes and specifications., • Maintain speed, consistency and quality during service., • Ensure all dishes leave the kitchen to the highest standard., • Complete daily prep and mise en place., • Minimise food waste through correct portioning and stock rotation.
