Integrity Education Solutions are supporting the appointment of an exceptional Headteacher to lead a specialist residential SEN school based in Nottinghamshire. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced and values-driven Headteacher who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people with autism, SEMH, and associated learning needs. The successful candidate will provide strong strategic and operational leadership, ensuring high-quality education, care and safeguarding within a therapeutic, nurturing environment. The Headteacher will lead the school’s vision, culture and performance, fostering a positive learning environment built on trust, respect and high expectations. They will be responsible for educational standards, staff leadership, safeguarding, compliance and the overall effectiveness of the school. Key areas of responsibility include: • Providing inspirational leadership to staff, pupils and families, • Leading an innovative, creative and inclusive curriculum that delivers strong outcomes, • Ensuring compliance with Independent School Standards and Ofsted frameworks, • Driving school self-evaluation and continuous improvement, • Managing staffing, resources, attendance, health & safety and parental engagement, • Working collaboratively with external agencies to support pupils’ academic, emotional and social development, • Championing safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils The successful applicant will demonstrate: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS), a relevant degree and NPQH (SEND qualification desirable), • Substantial senior leadership experience within a SEN school setting, • A proven track record of successfully leading Ofsted inspections and meeting ISS requirements, • Strong experience in school self-evaluation and development planning, • The ability to lead, inspire and develop high-performing staff teams, • A clear commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education What’s on Offer • Leadership salary L18–L27 (£78,701 – £98,105), • Enhanced pension scheme, • Annual pay progression linked to performance objectives, • Bonus payments linked to Ofsted outcomes, • Comprehensive CPD programme, including sponsorship for NPQEL and further leadership development, • Access to a national network of senior leaders within a supportive education group, • Health & wellbeing support, employee assistance programme, and staff benefits platform This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced SEN leader to make a lasting impact on the lives of children and young people while leading a committed and passionate team.
