Role: SENDCo (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities Coordinator) Full Time £(Apply online only) per day Immediate Start Rugby, Warwickshire A highly motivated and dedicated SENDCo is required for a mixed comprehensive secondary school and sixth form in Rugby, Warwickshire. This is a full-time, long term contract offering an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting students with additional needs within a supportive and forward-thinking school environment. The school is proud of its inclusive ethos, strong pastoral care, and excellent staff collaboration, making it an ideal setting for either a recently qualified SENDCo or an experienced practitioner looking to develop their leadership within SEND provision. The Role As SENDCo, you will be responsible for leading and managing the school's SEND provision and ensuring that students with additional needs receive the highest quality support. Key responsibilities include: Overseeing and managing SEND provision across the school Leading the strategic development of the SEND department Supporting staff to deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching Monitoring and tracking the progress and attainment of pupils with SEND Working closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies Ensuring the school meets its statutory responsibilities for SEND The School Located in Rugby, Warwickshire, the school is a well-established secondary school and sixth form serving students (KS3 & GCSE). The successful candidate will demonstrate: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and best practice The ability to lead, inspire, and support colleagues Evidence of ongoing professional development in SEND Applicants must also have: Right to work in the UK A clear and up-to-date Enhanced DBS Experience working within UK secondary education Why Join This School?
