Role: Health & Safety/ CDM ConsultantSalary: £50,000 - £55,000 + attractive benefits packageLocation: Wakefield (West Yorkshire) or Manchester officesSector: Property & Construction ConsultancyWe Recruit Group is proud to be partnering with a well-established and highly respected independent consultancy delivering Project Management, Quantity Surveying, and CDM/ Principal Designer services across the UK.Our client was established in 2001 and operating as part of the wider design group, they have built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality consultancy services across a broad range of sectors, supporting clients through the full project lifecycle while ensuring safety, compliance, and commercial success.Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are now looking to appoint a H&S/ CDM Consultant to join their team based in Wakefield or Manchester.This is a fantastic opportunity for a Health & Safety/ CDM professional looking to join a supportive consultancy environment where youll work on a varied portfolio of projects across sectors including commercial, residential, retail, education, leisure, and mixed-use developments.Youll work closely with clients, designers, contractors, and internal project teams to deliver CDM consultancy and Principal Designer services across both pre-construction and delivery phases.This role would suit someone from either a consultancy or contractor background who enjoys client-facing work, wants greater project ownership, and is looking to develop their career within a business known for long-term progression and technical excellence.As CDM Consultant, youll be responsible for supporting clients in meeting their duties under the CDM Regulations 2015 and ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly, and efficiently.Your responsibilities will include:Delivering CDM and Principal Designer services across a varied project portfolioPreparing and reviewing pre-construction informationManaging design risk registers and attending design risk review meetingsAdvising clients and design teams on their duties under CDM 2015Supporting safe design principles throughout project lifecyclesPreparing Health & Safety files and Construction Phase Plans where requiredCarrying out site inspections and reviewing RAMSLiaising with contractors, architects, developers, and key stakeholdersBuilding and maintaining strong client relationships across existing and new accountsWhat Were Looking ForNEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent)Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015Previous experience in a CDM Consultant, Principal Designer, Health & Safety Advisor, or similar roleMembership of IOSH, APS, or similar professional body (desirable)Temporary Works Coordinator (desirable)Scaffold Inspector Cert (desirable)Excellent communication and stakeholder management skillsA practical, solutions-focused approach to Health & SafetyFull UK driving licencePackage & BenefitsSalary of £50,000 - £55,000 depending on experience25 days holiday + bank holidaysHybrid working environmentCompany pension schemePrivate healthcareProfessional membership fees coveredExcellent CPD, training, and career development supportClear progression pathway within a growing consultancySupportive and collaborative team cultureRegular team events and company socialsInterested?If this sounds like the right next step for you, Id love to have a confidential chat.Even if this particular role isnt quite right, but youre open to exploring new opportunities in the market, feel free to get in touch, we work with employers across the property and construction sector daily, and your ideal role may already be on the table.Mike @ We Recruit Group | 07562 945 690TPBN1_UKTJ
