Senior Back End Engineer (.NET) - Manchester (Hybrid) We're working with a global digital organisation helping brands build meaningful, high-impact digital products. Their teams sit at the intersection of creativity, technology, and insight - designing and engineering platforms that scale, perform, and genuinely make a difference. They're now looking for a Senior Back End Engineer to join a cross-functional delivery team working on modern, content-driven web applications. The role As a senior engineer, you'll play a key part in shaping and delivering secure, accessible, and high-performing digital solutions. You'll work closely with designers, product specialists, and clients - contributing not just code, but ideas, leadership, and technical direction. This is a hands-on role with real influence, ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring others and modernising platforms while still being close to delivery. What you'll be doing Designing, building, and maintaining web applications using C#, .NET Framework, ASP.NET MVC, and Web API Building and integrating CMS-driven solutions (e.g. Umbraco, Sitecore or similar) Providing technical leadership within your team, including code reviews and mentoring Supporting platform modernisation, including adoption of .NET Core , Azure , and modern front-end frameworks Collaborating with Product, UX, Strategy, and DevOps to deliver end-to-end solutions Championing best practices around accessibility, performance, security, and maintainability What we're looking for 5+ years' experience as a Software / Back End Engineer Strong experience with C# / .NET , ASP.NET MVC, and Web APIs Solid background working with CMS platforms (Umbraco, Sitecore, or similar) Working knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS/Sass, JavaScript; React experience a plus) Exposure to Azure , cloud-hosted infrastructure, and modern DevOps practices Confident communicator, comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders A collaborative mindset and passion for mentoring others Why join?
