Complex Needs Teaching Assistant Eccles, Greater Manchester Monday-Friday | 8:00am-4:00pm £110-£120 per day (depending on experience) Full-Time | Temporary to Long-Term September Start We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join a specialist educational setting in Eccles. This rewarding role involves supporting children and young people with a range of complex needs, including Autism (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), physical disabilities, communication needs, and medical requirements. The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping students access learning, develop independence, and achieve their individual goals in a safe and supportive environment. This role will include aspects of personal care and supporting students with their daily needs The Role • Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with complex needs, • Supporting learning and development both inside and outside the classroom, • Assisting with communication, sensory, and therapeutic activities, • Supporting students with personal care, including toileting, changing, feeding, and personal hygiene where required, • Encouraging independence, confidence, and social interaction, • Assisting with mobility and physical support when necessary, • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff, • Promoting a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environmentWe Are Looking For, • Experience working with children, young people, or adults with additional needs is desirable, • A caring, patient, and empathetic approach, • Confidence supporting individuals with personal care needs, • Strong communication and teamwork skills, • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff, • A genuine passion for supporting individuals with additional needsTransferable Experience Welcome We welcome applications from candidates with backgrounds in: • Support Work, • Care Work, • Residential Care, • Health & Social Care, • SEN Support, • Nursery or Early Years Settings, • Psychology Graduates, • Youth Work, • Teaching Assistants, • Nursing or Healthcare Assistants, • Any role supporting individuals with additional needsEssential Requirements, • Enhanced DBS certificate covering Child and Adult Workforce, registered on the DBS Update Service, or willingness to apply and pay for a new DBS check., • Right to work in the UK., • Ability to provide professional references covering the last two years., • Comfortable supporting students with personal care needs., • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.Apply Now Apply directly through this advert or contact Nathan Jones for more information:
