• Senior Facilities Management Consultant, • Remote Role - some travel across London and south East, • 3 month contract, • Inside of IR35, • £785 per day This is a Senior FM professional role focused on delivering a comprehensive Facilities Management (FM) review across multiple client sites. Engagements will vary, working across public or private sector and a range of markets. Geographic locations and duration of specific engagements will also vary. The nature of this assignment is to lead a multi-site FM review, assessing hard FM, soft FM and security services, identifying opportunities for operational transformation, cost savings, and service excellence. You will operate at a senior level, engaging in Opportunity Assessment, Savings Delivery, Transformation, Strategic Sourcing, Contract and Supplier Relationship Management, and Project/Programme Management. You will be expected to lead consultancy deliverables, manage teams or work independently, and contribute to internal business development, best practice, and innovation. Ideally you will have experience working in the Rail Sector. Job Title: Die-Sink EDM Machinist Location: Malvern Pay Range: £32,000 - £35,000 Shift: Days Contract Type: Permanent My client, a dynamic organisation involved in precision tooling and injection mould manufacturing, is looking for a skilled Die-Sink EDM Machinist to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, operating, and optimising die-sink (sinker) EDM machines to produce high-precision tooling, electrodes, and critical components. You will be expected to manufacture components to exacting standards, ensuring accuracy, quality, and efficient production. Key Responsibilities – Die-Sink EDM Program and operate die-sink EDM machines (Mitsubishi) using engineering drawings and CAM outputs. Produce, dress, and maintain electrodes; select correct electrode materials and process parameters. Set up workpieces, align electrodes, set spark gaps, select pulse settings, and monitor dielectric conditions. Bench-fit tooling assemblies using grinding and polishing techniques. Carry out first-off inspection, produce process documentation, and maintain machine logs. Perform preventative maintenance and basic fault-finding on EDM machines and associated equipment. Collaborate with toolroom engineers on electrode design and erosion strategies. Qualifications & Requirements – Die-Sink EDM Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings, including GD&T. Competent in defining problems, collecting data, and forming valid conclusions. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability. Experience with Kaizen/lean manufacturing techniques. Adaptable, resilient, and able to work in changing environments. Good communication skills and general computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook). Understanding of customer expectations, quality standards, and the cost of failure. Proven experience operating sinker EDM machines (typically 3–5 years). Knowledge of SolidWorks and basic CAM programming for EDM (or ability to edit programs). Skilled in hand finishing and electrode dressing (grinding, hand tools). Exposure to Wire EDM (Esprit), CNC milling/grinding, or CMM metrology is advantageous. Experience / Education Previous experience within injection mould manufacturing required. 3 years relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
