    Streetfood stall manager DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DONT HAVE DRIVING LICENCE Payment: (15-20£) or profit % percentage depending on experience. Days: 3 days a week Baytna is looking for an experienced and reliable Stall Manager to manage our Syrian burger street-food stall across all KERB markets in London. This is a role combining street-food operations, food preparation, team management, stock and supplier management, driving and food safety. Our markets vary from week to week but will rotate between 4 locations: cow cross yards in farringdon, fleet place in Blackfriars gherkin in central and Francis road in Leyton. The Stall Manager will also assess which locations perform best and support decisions on where the business should trade. Key responsibilities: • Manage the day-to-day operation of our Syrian burger street-food stall., • Drive the company van from our base in Leyton (E10) to KERB markets across London, set up the stall and equipment, and return the van after service., • Prepare burgers and other ingredients ahead of market days. (Paid prep day), • Purchase and maintain sufficient ingredients and stock using Baytna's approved supplier list and company card., • Manage the stall during busy services and ensure food is prepared and served quickly and consistently., • Lead and support stall staff, including team members from refugee and diverse backgrounds., • Maintain all required food hygiene, health & safety and operational documentation., • Safely operate stall equipment, including connecting gas canisters and understanding correct fire-extinguisher procedures., • Monitor different KERB market locations and provide feedback on which markets are most suitable and commercially successful., • Help maintain the company van and arrange fuel and necessary vehicle expenses using the company card., • Support additional paid Baytna work where available, including private events, catering and supper clubs. Requirements: • Advanced English language, • Level 3 Food Hygiene & Safety certification., • Full valid driving licence and confidence driving an automatic medium size company van in London., • Previous experience in street food, catering, commercial kitchens, food stalls or a similar fast-paced food service environment., • Strong leadership and organisational skills., • Confident managing food preparation, stock and service independently., • Able to safely work with gas-powered catering equipment., • Reliable, punctual and comfortable taking responsibility for the full operation of a stall., • Willing to complete a DBS check. Desirable: • Someone living in East London or can easily get to Leyton, • First Aid qualification., • Health & Safety qualification., • Previous experience managing a street-food stall, food festivals Baytna works with refugees from a wide range of backgrounds and serves a diverse community. The successful candidate will be required to sign Baytna's Code of Conduct and uphold our zero-tolerance approach to racism, misogyny, religious discrimination, xenophobia and homophobia. We are looking for someone who can take real ownership of the stall from preparation and setup through to service, safety and pack down while helping us grow Baytna's Syrian street-food business across London and help young refugees in London.

We’re now looking for an ambitious and proactive Production Supervisor (Kitchen Operations) to join us at an exciting stage of our journey. Salary: £32,000-£34,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus two annual bonus opportunities of up to 5% each Contract: Permanent, full-time Location: Planthood, Units D10-D11, Leyton Business Centre, Argall Avenue, London, E10 7QP Work location: On-site The Role Our Kitchen team is a crucial part of what makes Planthood different. It’s where our chefs prepare the sauces, garnishes and other chef-made components that go into our meal kits and bring our dishes to life. As one of three Production Supervisors in Kitchen Operations, you’ll lead our team of chefs and Kitchen Porters while working closely with your fellow Supervisors, other department leaders and our Production Managers. You’ll be an important part of a wider management team where we share ideas, solve problems, support each other and get things done together. This is a hands-on role, combining leadership on the production floor with the opportunity to make a wider impact. As Planthood grows, we want you to bring ideas, spot opportunities and drive improvements, while we support your own development and progression within the business. What You’ll Be Doing • Run great production days: Work with your fellow Supervisors to organise the team, set priorities and keep food preparation and cooking running smoothly against the production plan., • Lead and develop the team: Coach, support and motivate our chefs and Kitchen Porters, creating a great working environment with clear expectations and high standards., • Maintain quality and food safety: Make sure our chef-made components are consistently delicious and produced safely, accurately and to specification, maintaining high standards of hygiene, allergen controls and HACCP., • Keep performance on track: Stay on top of production flow, timings and productivity, stepping in to solve problems and keep the day moving., • Improve how we work: Spot inefficiencies and recurring issues, bring forward practical ideas and turn agreed improvements into action., • Work as one Production team: Collaborate with other Supervisors, department leaders and Production Managers to solve problems and deliver the wider production plan. About You You might already be supervising a production kitchen, or you could be an experienced chef ready to take the next step into a broader leadership role. Most importantly, you love good food and take real pride in producing it to a high standard. You’ll bring: • Strong professional cooking experience at Chef de Partie level or above, with the confidence to be hands-on in the kitchen when needed, • Experience leading, coaching or motivating others in a professional kitchen or food production environment, • Strong organisation and the ability to stay calm and make decisions during a busy production day, • A good understanding of cooking at volume, including recipe scaling and yields, • High standards for food quality, hygiene and food safety, with a good understanding of allergens and HACCP, • Plenty of initiative, with a natural instinct to solve problems and find better ways of working, • Confidence using digital tools and keeping accurate production records, • A collaborative approach and the ambition to grow with the role and with Planthood Experience in a high-volume commercial kitchen, central production kitchen, catering operation or food manufacturing environment would be particularly valuable.
