Digital Print Artworker / Graphics Production OperativeLeyland, Lancashire Salary: up to £29500 DOE Full-time, site-basedDo you have experience preparing customer artwork, graphics or logos for print?Have you worked within signage, large-format printing, reprographics or another print-production environment?Are you confident checking files, making technical adjustments and sending artwork through to digital printing machinery?We are recruiting for a Digital Print Artworker / Graphics Production Operative to join an established luxury wallcovering manufacturer based in Leyland.This role sits between the creative studio and the production floor.You will receive customer artwork, check that it is suitable for print, make any necessary technical amendments and prepare the files using specialist production software. Once the artwork has been approved, you will send it through to the digital printing machinery and check that the finished result meets the required standard.This is not necessarily a role for somebody creating new brands, logos or marketing campaigns from scratch.It is more likely to suit somebody who has worked within signage, large-format printing, graphics production, reprographics or pre-press and understands how to take customer-supplied artwork and make it ready for production.The RoleYour responsibilities will include:Receiving and checking customer artwork, logos and graphicsMaking sure files are the correct size, resolution and format for productionIdentifying problems that could affect the finished printAmending, resizing or cleaning up artwork where requiredPreparing and setting up files using AVA or similar graphics and print-production softwareUsing RIP or production software to send approved files to the printersChecking layouts, repeats, scale and positioning before productionMonitoring colour and print qualityMaking adjustments where the finished output does not match the approved artworkInspecting completed prints and identifying any quality issuesWorking closely with the studio and production teamsSupporting the operation of digital printing equipmentCarrying out basic cleaning and routine maintenance where requiredWhat We Are Looking ForYou may currently be working as a:Digital Print ArtworkerGraphics Production OperativeSignage ArtworkerLarge Format ArtworkerPre-Press ArtworkerReprographics OperatorPrint Production TechnicianMac OperatorDigital Print OperatorExperience within signage would be particularly relevant, especially if you are used to taking customer logos and artwork, preparing them for production and sending the finished files to large-format printing equipment.You will ideally have:Experience preparing graphics or artwork for printStrong Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skillsExperience working with customer-supplied logos or artworkAn understanding of resolution, sizing, file formats and print setupKnowledge of RIP or print-production softwareA good understanding of colour managementStrong attention to detailThe ability to identify and correct artwork problemsConfidence working within a production environmentA practical and methodical approachExperience using AVA software would be beneficial, but training can be provided.Previous wallpaper or textile experience is not essential. Candidates from signage, graphics, large-format printing, packaging, reprographics and other digital print environments will be considered.This is an excellent opportunity for somebody with strong graphics and print-production experience to move into a specialist luxury manufacturing environment.TPBN1_UKTJ
