Imagine being at the centre of U.S. government engagement with South Asian media, where your linguistic expertise and cultural insights directly influence how millions understand American foreign policy. This isnt just a job, its your opportunity to support our Hindi-Urdu Foreign Language Spokesperson in crafting compelling narratives for regional audiences; forge lasting relationships with influential journalists from Urdu and Hindi media across Londons vibrant media landscape; provide expert analysis on South Asian media trends to senior State Department officials in London and Washington; coordinate high-stakes media engagements at major international summits. Your attention to detail and organisational skills will support the efficient operation of a team of media and language experts. This position is primarily an administrative role, serving as the operational backbone of the Hub. You will be the primary point of contact for administrative inquiries and troubleshoot operational challenges to maintain Hub efficiency, to include: • Manage the Hubs budget and contracts with precision and compliance, ensuring all expenditures align with Department regulations and mission priorities., • Coordinate logistics for media training programs that elevate our outreach, including venue selection, participant communications, and materials preparation., • Track and manage procurement actions, ensuring competitive processes and proper documentation for all acquisitions, such as overseeing contracts for media monitors, social media partners, and staff., • Handle travel arrangements and office management for seamless operations, including coordinating itineraries, processing travel authorisations, and maintaining office supplies and equipment., • Coach and prepare our Hindi-Urdu spokesperson for impactful media interviews., • Draft and edit compelling Urdu/Hindi video scripts that resonate with audiences., • Monitor and advise on breaking developments in the Urdu/Hindi press., • Review and verify translations before public release, your eye for detail is critical to ensure accuracy.
