Account Manager – Electrical Products Strategic Accounts | M&E Contractors & Consultants Location: South of England / M25 Corridor (Home-Based) Salary up to £80,000 basic + UNCAPPED bonus Benefits: Company car (choice) or car allowance, 25 days’ holiday + bank holidays, pension The Role We are a leading electrical distributor seeking an experienced Account Manager to take full ownership of a high-value, profitable portfolio of existing customer accounts across the South of England. This is a senior, account-led role focused on developing long-term partnerships, growing revenue and margin within current customers, and supporting complex projects rather than high-volume new business activity. You will operate as a trusted commercial partner to M&E contractors, consultants, and key end users across industrial, nuclear, datacentre, and large-scale construction environments. Working from home with full territory ownership, you’ll manage your accounts as your own business, supported by strong internal sales, technical, and supply chain teams. Key Responsibilities • Own and manage a profitable portfolio of strategic customer accounts., • Develop and deliver account growth strategies to increase revenue, margin, and share of spend., • Build senior-level relationships with decision-makers within M&E contractors and consultancies., • Drive organic growth within existing customers through project support, specification influence, and cross-selling., • Identify and secure additional project opportunities within your account base., • Lead commercial discussions, pricing agreements, and long-term supply arrangements., • Support customers through the full project lifecycle, from design and specification to delivery., • Conduct regular client meetings, site visits, and account reviews., • Collaborate internally to ensure service excellence and technical support., • Deliver accurate forecasting and consistently achieve agreed commercial targets. About You • Proven experience as an Account Manager or Sales professional within an electrical distributor or manufacturer., • Strong, established relationships with M&E contractors and consultants across the South / M25 corridor., • Track record of growing and protecting key customer accounts., • Commercially astute with strong negotiation and relationship-management skills., • Comfortable working autonomously in a home-based role.
