The role The Junior Merchandiser reports to a Merchandiser or Senior Merchandiser, the role will have a larger degree of Merchandising as well as operating in the wider team structure. The aim is to maximise commercial opportunities through the effective management of inventory, driving demand and service through improved availability and forecasting and reducing markdown to maximise profit. Director - HV Cable System Design Jacobs is playing a leading role in the global energy transition. As our UK and Continental Europe team continues to expand, we are seeking a Principal Cable System Engineer to support a range of high-profile projects across our Power & Energy portfolio. This includes high voltage AIS and GIS Substations, transmission system assets, HVDC interconnectors, and energy storage systems. You will lead the design delivery for Cable System Projects up to 400kV, from the tendering stage through to project handover. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Developing HV/EHV cabling systems specifications, concept/detailed design and design review, estimation, site supervision and support as required., • Provide technical support to the team on all aspects of HV cable system engineering and design, • Prepare plant and equipment technical specification, power cable route specifications, tender specifications, technical and progress reports, • Ensuring correct and accurate interface with other engineering functions involved in the projects, attend, and conduct internal and external meetings with colleagues, clients, and subcontractors., • Perform technical calculations including cable size, rating calculations, TMF and EMF calculations, Sheath induced voltage calculations and other., • Perform design reviews, verification of design, • Ensuring all project designs are compliant with CDM regulations, relevant legislation and company procedures, • Assist with temporary works design schemes., • Maintain good working relations with client / designer / Team, together with our supply chain., • Ensure that the drawings and specification documents contain sufficient, accurate information for construction of the works.
