We are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team at our school. This is a fantastic opportunity to support young children at the start of their educational journey. You will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn through play, exploration and structured activities. EYFS Teaching Assistant Location: Barrowford Salary: £14.25 - £15 per hour Start Date: September 2026 or ASAP Contract: Full-time 8.30am - 3.30pm Key Responsibilities • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging EYFS learning activities, • Work with children individually and in small groups to support development, • Assist with early reading, phonics and numeracy skills, • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing, • Help maintain a safe, welcoming and stimulating learning environment, • Support observations and assessment in line with EYFS framework, • Assist with personal care where required What We Offer • A warm, welcoming and supportive school environment, • A dedicated and experienced Early Years team, • Opportunities for training and professional development, • A strong focus on staff wellbeing, • A rewarding role helping children thrive in their early years About You We are looking for someone who: • Has experience working with young children (EYFS or nursery setting preferred), • Has a good understanding of the EYFS framework, • Is patient, caring and nurturing in their approach, • Can engage children through play and creative activities, • Has strong communication and teamwork skills, • Holds a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification (desirable but not essential), • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children How to Apply If you are interested in applying for this role, please attach your CV.
