Support Worker – Complex Care (Female) Location: IG3 Shifts: 8AM: to 8PM About The AICS Group The AICS Group is a specialist provider of community-based rehabilitation and complex care, supporting individuals with conditions such as brain injury, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, and learning disabilities. About the Role We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader / Rehabilitation Support Worker to support old male client living in the IG3 area. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to work within a dynamic multidisciplinary team (MDT), supporting a young individual with complex needs through a structured rehabilitation pathway. The role focuses on neurorehabilitation and spinal injury support, bridging the transition from hospital to home. You will play a key role in delivering tailored care plans, promoting recovery, and enhancing the client’s independence and quality of life. Key Responsibilities for Support worker • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care in the client’s home, • Support rehabilitation programmes and therapy goals, • Assist with manual handling and mobility support, • Administer and monitor medication safely, • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and therapists, • Monitor progress and report changes in condition, • Provide emotional and psychological support to the client, • Help prevent complications and promote long-term wellbeing Person Specification Support worker Essential Skills & Experience • Experience supporting individuals with spinal cord injuries and complex needs, • Support worker should have strong manual handling skills, • Experience in medication administration and monitoring (hospital/ICU background desirable), • Understanding of rehabilitation and recovery pathways, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, • Good IT and documentation skills, • Ability to work independently within a client’s home, • Willingness to learn, adapt, and take feedback Desirable for Support worker • Experience supporting clients in community-based settings What We Offer to Support worker • Flexible working patterns (full-time & part-time opportunities), • Competitive pay rates, • Comprehensive training including:, • Mandatory training, • Brain injury and rehabilitation training, • Medication training, • Client-specific induction, • Ongoing professional development tailored to client needs Additional Information • This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check, • Equality Act 2010: Gender is a genuine occupational requirement (Schedule 9, Paragraph 1) Why Join Us?
