About the Role The purpose of this role is to support imaging research as part of a multidisciplinary imaging team involved in many different research projects. The post holder will perform radiographic examinations, providing direct care and a high quality diagnostic service in order to assist in the management of patients. Responsibilities • This will involve participating in the provision of on-going programmes of clinical examinations, research studies and clinical trials involving MRI, CT and PET/CT scanning., • The post holder will primarily provide radiographic support to projects but will also be expected to become part of the research team., • Take on other roles such as development of quality control processes, data management, image analysis, protocol development, teaching plus more., • The post holder will also act as part of the core team within the imaging research centre; taking on responsibilities with other centre activities (NHS support work, private patient scanning, design and delivery of training courses e.g. online MSc modules and other activities)., • Some flexibility is required as it is likely that staff will work between research sites., • Also, due to the nature of research projects there may be a need to occasionally work flexible patterns to support “out of hours” scanning. Qualifications • Degree/ diploma in Diagnostic Radiography, • HCPC Registration, • PVG Certification Required Skills • Experience in MRI, CT and PET/CT scanning, • Excellent team working skills, • Ability to follow protocols and procedures, • Ability to deal with the patients, researchers and other facility staff in a respectful and in a professional manner, • Able to work under pressure and with a flexible and pragmatic attitude Pay range and compensation package The salary for this post is £41064 - £51,753 per annual and a 7% market pay supplement.
