As the business continues to expand, it is seeking an Interim Privacy Counsel to support its Privacy, Legal, and Compliance teams during a defined project period in 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful, high-visibility work in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. The Role The Interim Privacy Counsel will play a key role in advising across global privacy issues, supporting the organisation during a critical period of regulatory activity and internal initiatives. Key responsibilities include: • Providing expert legal advice on privacy, data protection, and data governance across EU, UK, and international frameworks., • Advising on compliance with GDPR, e-privacy rules, data transfer mechanisms, DPIAs, and records of processing., • Supporting product, engineering, marketing, and security teams on privacy-by-design matters., • Reviewing and negotiating data protection terms, including DPAs, data sharing arrangements, and vendor agreements., • Helping manage regulatory queries, assessments, or audits., • Working cross-functionally to drive privacy compliance projects and operational improvements., • Supporting internal stakeholders with pragmatic, business-aligned legal guidance. About You • Qualified lawyer with 5–10 years’ experience in privacy, data protection, or technology law., • Strong understanding of GDPR, UK GDPR, e-privacy, and broader international privacy regimes., • Experience advising on privacy in consumer technology, digital services, SaaS, or data-intensive environments., • Ability to balance regulatory compliance with commercial and product-development priorities., • Confident working in fast-moving, cross-functional teams., • Strong communicator with a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach.
