Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) – Perth, Scotland Base: Perth | Travel: Central Belt Salary: £35,000–£45,000 + paid mileage CPD: 20 days per year Type: Full-time | Permanent Join a leading environmental consultancy working at the forefront of renewable energy, utilities, and residential development. We’re looking for a skilled Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) to support a growing portfolio of projects across Scotland’s Central Belt. This is a field-based role, ideally suited to someone based in or near Perth, with regular travel to wind, solar, utility, and housing sites. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring ecological compliance on active construction sites, advising contractors and clients, and safeguarding habitats and protected species. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver on-site ecological supervision and monitoring for construction projects, • Provide clear, practical ecological advice to site teams and stakeholders, • Ensure compliance with legislation, planning conditions, and mitigation measures, • Record and report ecological observations, incidents, and recommendations, • Liaise confidently with clients, contractors, regulators, and internal teams About You: • Several years of experience in a similar ECoW or ecological monitoring role, • Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and ecological mitigation practices, • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, • Comfortable working independently in dynamic site environments, • Full, clean UK driving licence is essential On Offer: • Competitive salary: £35,000–£45,000, depending on experience, • Paid mileage for all work-related travel, • Flexible working patterns for example, 9 day fortnight or condensed hours, • 20 days CPD annually to support your professional growth, • Supportive, specialist team environment, • Opportunity to work on impactful renewable energy and infrastructure projects To apply, please send your CV and a short cover letter outlining your experience to Connor Sandison, Eden Scott
