Job description: Pay: £16.23 - £17.00 per hour Job description: Job Summary • Position: College Administrator / Receptionist, • Location: Special School, Leigh Sports Village, • Hours: 5 days per week (Could offer Part Time 3 / 4 days), • Start Date: September 2026, • Duration: Ongoing, will be interviewing for permanent role We are seeking a dynamic and organized College Administrator/Receptionist to be the welcoming face and efficient coordinator of our special school. In this vital role, you will manage front desk operations, handle general administrative tasks, answer phones, cover reception, gate duties and visitors, and ensure smooth communication within the school community. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a positive, supportive environment for students, staff, and visitors alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a thriving special educational setting while developing your administrative skills on a flexible part-time basis covering maternity leave until Christmas. Requirements • Proven office experience in an administrative or clerical role within an educational or similar environment (college experience highly desirable), • Knowledge of Arbor (systems are similar, so experience in either Arbor or SIMS is beneficial) – Arbor experience preferred, • Strong computer skills, • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting, • Demonstrated typing speed and accuracy for document preparation and correspondence, • Knowledge of phone etiquette and professional communication standards, • Ability to perform clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, and managing schedules effectively Join us in making a positive impact by ensuring our college runs smoothly every day!
