We're creating a brand‑new Master Production Scheduler role to bring clarity, control, and long‑term planning discipline to a highly complex aerospace manufacturing environment. With long lead times, multi‑level BOMs, and specialised constrained resources, we need someone who can turn demand signals into a stable, achievable production plan. You'll develop and own the Master Production Schedule, ensuring we deliver to our customers on time and at the highest quality. This is a rare opportunity to build a critical function from the ground up and directly influence delivery performance, cost, and customer satisfaction. Essential Candidate Requirements Degree‑level qualification (or equivalent) in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline. APICS CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management) or equivalent professional planning certification, or a clear commitment to obtain it within 12 months of appointment. Technical & Functional Expertise Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor LN/M3 or similar) within a manufacturing environment. Demonstrable understanding of: Master Production Scheduling (MPS) Demand management Capacity Requirements Planning (CRP) Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes Solid understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, lead times, and manufacturing work orders. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, scenario modelling) and competent use of the wider MS Office suite, including Power BI. Industry Experience Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Production Scheduler, Master Scheduler, or Planning Analyst in a regulated manufacturing environment. Proven experience within aerospace, defence, automotive, or similarly regulated sectors, with working knowledge of AS9100, ITAR, or Export Control requirements. Core Competencies Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable production plans. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong communication skills, capable of working effectively with cross‑functional teams including operations, supply chain, engineering, and quality.
