An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated professional to join the Princethorpe School Nursing team and provide a clinically effective, confidential, high quality service of care to pupils and first aid to staff and visitors during term time. This post is open to but not exclusively limited to Registered General Nurses. Reporting to the Foundation Lead Nurse, the successful candidate will work closely with the schools Pastoral team for the care of both pupils and staff. They must hold a relevant clinical qualification (or equivalent) and be able to work independently within their professional boundaries. They must have experience in minor injuries and illnesses and be able to demonstrate safe clinical decision making, be calm, capable, warm, welcoming and sensitive to the needs of others Previous experience of working in A&E, Practice Nursing or in a school environment would be advantageous. Experience supporting young people with Diabetes, Asthma Allergies and their mental health would also be an asset. Applicants should demonstrate strong administrative capability, outstanding attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive information with accuracy and professionalism in order to maintain high standards in a fast-paced school health environment. This is a full time role 37.5 hours per week, permanent, term-time only role (36 weeks per year including INSET days). Significant part-time may be considered for the right candidate The working pattern five days per week, Monday to Friday, this will be discussed at interview. The starting salary for this role is between E10 to F1 of the Princethorpe Foundation support staff scale, currently £33,300-£36,293 per annum, full-time equivalent, £26,406 £28,779 actual salary inclusive of holiday pay. Starting salary is dependent on qualifications and relevant experience.
