Business Development Executive / Telesales Executive Location: Leighton Buzzard Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm Salary: £28 000 + commission Overview Our client is seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Executive to join their growing sales team. This is a high-energy, target-driven role focused on generating new business through proactive cold calling, lead generation, and relationship building. The ideal candidate will have strong telesales experience and a proven ability to win new customers. Cold calling is a key part of the role, with a minimum KPI of 80 outbound calls per day. Key Responsibilities • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets, • Generate and develop new business opportunities, • Carry out high-volume outbound cold calling (80+ calls per day KPI), • Identify and qualify new sales leads, • Research new markets, trends, and potential customers, • Prepare and follow up on sales proposals and quotations, • Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products/services, • Negotiate with new and existing customers via phone and email, • Maximise opportunities from inbound and outbound enquiries, • Maintain accurate CRM records and update activity daily, • Produce reports on activity, pipeline, and performance, • Attend networking events and support business development activity, • Work collaboratively with internal teams Requirements • Previous experience in telesales or business development, • Strong cold calling and lead generation skills, • Proven track record of achieving sales targets, • Confident communicator with excellent telephone manner, • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email), • Self-motivated with a strong “hunter” mentality, • Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment Personal Attributes • Driven and ambitious, • Resilient and confident in handling rejection, • Positive “can-do” attitude, • Strong work ethic and desire to succeed, • Excellent communication skills
