HGV Class 2 Driver Loader Bristol People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver Loader to join our well-established client based in Bristol . This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, 25 days' annual leave plus Bank Holidays , Monday to Friday working, early finishes, no weekend working, outstanding overtime rates, and genuine opportunities for long-term career progression within a well-established organisation. This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver, Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, LGV Driver, Refuse Driver, Waste Collection Driver, Recycling Driver, Dustcart Driver, Bin Lorry Driver, or RCV Driver. Shifts Monday to Friday 06:00 14:18 39 hours per week Enjoy your afternoons and weekends free Rates of Pay £17.57 - £35.54 per hour Benefits As an HGV Class 2 Driver Loader , you will receive: Excellent hourly rates Monday to Friday working Early finish every day No weekend working 25 days' annual leave plus Bank Holidays Excellent overtime rates (1.5x Monday to Saturday and 2x plus a day off in lieu for Sundays and Bank Holidays) 5% employer pension contribution Salary Sacrifice Electric Car Scheme Free BUPA Health Cash Plan Free eye tests On-site physiotherapist Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) £200 Employee Referral Bonus Reward Gateway discounts at over 900 retailers Employee recognition awards and long service rewards Ongoing training and career progression Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 2 Driver Loader , your duties will include (but are not limited to): Driving Category C (HGV Class 2) vehicles safely and efficiently in accordance with road traffic legislation and company procedures Driving and loading refuse and recycling collection vehicles Collecting, transporting, and unloading waste and recyclable materials safely and efficiently Carrying out daily vehicle safety inspections and reporting any defects promptly Using in-cab mobile technology to complete route information and daily paperwork Delivering excellent customer service to commercial customers and members of the public Supporting operations across the Avonmouth, Albert Road, and Hartcliffe depots when required Working outdoors in all weather conditions Following all Health & Safety procedures, Driver Hours Regulations, and company policies at all times Essential Skills To be successful in this role, you will need: A valid Category C (HGV Class 2) Driving Licence A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card A valid Digital Tachograph Card Good knowledge of Driver Hours, Tachograph, and Working Time Regulations together with safe driving practices Excellent communication and customer service skills A positive attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team Good physical fitness and willingness to undertake manual loading duties while working outdoors in all weather conditions The ability to read, write, and communicate in English to a good standard Desirable Experience Previous experience within waste management, recycling, environmental services, or commercial collections Previous experience driving HGV Class 2 / Category C vehicles Experience operating Refuse Collection Vehicles (RCVs) would be advantageous Training Provided Full induction programme Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your employment Apply If you are interested in this role, please apply today and a member of our team will be in touch.
