We are seeking a skilled Site Electrical Engineer to join our Operations team in Ilkeston, supporting the safe and efficient running of a high-volume facility. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, preventative maintenance, and working with a wide range of industrial machinery and control systems. ........................................................................................................The Role Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure plant reliability, minimise downtime, and support continuous production. ................................................................................................. Key responsibilities include: • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with site schedules, • Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults across a variety of machinery and systems, • Responding quickly to breakdowns, prioritising safety and production continuity, • Fault finding on Siemens PLC systems and wider electrical controls, • Installing, testing, commissioning, and maintaining electrical systems, • Maintaining emergency lighting circuits and conducting testing requirements, • Ensuring all electrical work complies with current regulations and standards, • Updating maintenance records using the site CMMS system, • Supporting continuous improvement projects to improve equipment reliability ....................................................................................................... Essential Requirements: • Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent), • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, • Minimum 5 years experience in electrical engineering, • Experience fault finding on Siemens PLC systems, • Strong understanding of industrial equipment such as conveyors, pumps, tanks, mixers and mobile plant, • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, • Knowledge of ATEX environments and associated risks, • Knowledge of automation, sensors, and control systems, • Good communication xrnqpay skills, • IT literate (Microsoft Office / Teams), • Ability to work independently and within a team ....................................................................................................
