The Role We are looking for a talented and motivated Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in running day-to-day kitchen operations. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced service environment and enjoys being actively involved on the pass and at the grill. You will play a key role in maintaining standards, supporting junior chefs, and ensuring smooth, confident services across lunch and dinner. Key Responsibilities Supporting the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management Leading sections during service and stepping up to run the kitchen when required Maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation Working confidently with live fire, grill, and Mediterranean cooking techniques Assisting with menu development, specials, and seasonal dishes Training, mentoring, and motivating junior members of the kitchen team Managing prep, stock rotation, and portion control Ensuring food safety, cleanliness, and HACCP standards are consistently met Contributing to a positive, calm, and professional kitchen culture About You Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous ready to step up Passion for Mediterranean food, barbecue, and ingredient-led cooking Comfortable working in an open kitchen environment Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Calm under pressure with a positive leadership style Committed to consistency, cleanliness, and high standards Reliable, professional, and proud of your work Working Pattern WednesdayFriday: Evening service (from 5pm) Saturday & Sunday: Day and evening service (from 12pm) Monday & Tuesday: Closed guaranteed days off every week What We Offer £35,000 salary Consistent 45- 50-hour working week Two fixed days off every week Opportunity to be part of a growing, ambitious restaurant A close-knit team and a kitchen where your input is valued TPBN1_UKCT
