Job Summary We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented cleaner to perform high-standard cleaning for both end-of-tenancy properties and short-term Airbnb rentals. This role requires precision, efficiency, and pride in delivering fresh, welcoming spaces for new tenants or guests. Key Responsibilities End-of-Tenancy Cleaning Deep cleaning of the entire property, including walls, floors, skirting boards, and ceilings Full sanitation of bathrooms and kitchens (descaling, oven cleaning, appliance interiors) Interior window cleaning and spot removal Cupboards, wardrobes, and storage areas cleaned inside and out Removal of any stains, cobwebs, or scuff marks. Report any damages or required maintenance to the supervisor. Airbnb Turnover Cleaning Change and launder bed linens and towels Replenish guest amenities (toiletries, tea/coffee, tissue, cleaning supplies) Sanitize high-touch surfaces and polish mirrors/glass Light staging (arranging cushions, setting dining table, etc.) Clear bins and ensure fresh presentation Reset thermostat, check for forgotten items, and tidy guest spaces Requirements Proven experience in domestic or hospitality cleaning Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment Ability to follow checklists and meet tight deadlines Attention to detail and commitment to high standards Good communication skills and reliability Driver or Access to transportation (preferred)

Further training and support will be provided. MUST - Have a full UK driving licence and a mode of transport to get to the company yard. The Kisumu Children Trust is a small registered Christian charity (Number 1091477) and for the past 209 years or so has been helping orphans / abandoned and other destitute children in the Kisumu area of Kenya with loving Christian care, education, health and Bible teaching. The post is paid, employed or self-employed, and part-time, at present two days ;per week, but we are totally flexible. The post involves office administration, bookkeeping, sponsorship organisation, producing and emailing our (already written) monthly prayer news, mailing our quarterly newssheet and acknowledging gifts.
