The Role: Impact & Responsibility As a Graduate SEN TA, you won't just be "helping out"-you will be applying your academic knowledge to real-world behavioural and developmental scenarios. • 1:1 Support: Work closely with specific pupils to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)., • Behavioural Support: Use positive reinforcement and de-escalation techniques (Team Teach training provided)., • Progress Tracking: Monitor emotional regulation and social development, providing feedback to the SENCO., • Comprehensive Age Range: Gain experience across both Primary and Secondary phases., • Expert Mentorship: Work alongside experienced SEN practitioners and on-site therapists., • Professional Development: Access to accredited training in Autism awareness and PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System)., • Education: A degree in Psychology (2:1 or higher preferred)., • Mindset: A deep interest in neurodiversity and a patient, "child-first" approach., • Experience: Previous experience with ASC (voluntary or paid) is a bonus, but a willingness to learn is essential.
