Key Responsibilities • Oversee the day-to-day management of the kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient operations, • Lead, motivate, and develop the kitchen team, maintaining high standards at all times, • Design, implement, and update menus twice yearly, focusing on fresh, high-quality dishes, • Plan and execute food offerings for a variety of functions and events, • Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships, including negotiating costs, • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations, • Adapt kitchen operations in line with seasonal and weather-dependent demand, • Maintain strong cost control, including GP margins and waste managementIdeal Candidate, • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef ready to step up, • Strong leadership and team management skills, • Experience working in a fresh food, high-volume pub or similar environment, • Commercially aware with experience in cost control and supplier negotiation, • Creative approach to menu development, • Highly organised, particularly with planning for events and functions, • Flexible xrnqpay and able to manage varying demand levelsWhats on Offer, • Competitive salary of £40K£45K depending on experience, • Opportunity to lead a kitchen within a respected independent business, • Creative input into menu development and kitchen direction
