We are looking for a Structural Inspector to join our dayshift supervisory team at our Port Clarence facility. This role is subject to pre-employment checks, including alcohol and drug screening and also BPSS security clearance (as part of Wilton Engineerings onboarding process). Due to the nature of work scopes all applicants must be UK Nationals, all applicants should have completed a recognised apprenticeship. The successful applicant will be working on long term Prestigious Maritime projects, (full training will be provided to support the role to deliver the project to the high standard required). The applicant must have a Plating Background with experience of dumpy levels and other basic dimensional tools. You will be reporting to the Dimensional Coordinator and working closely with the Dimensional Control Team. Carry out steel setup inspections as required by the customer ensuring fit-up tolerance standard. Carries out structural checks to ensure dimensions conform to client drawings, both pre-weld and post weld. Ensures correct items are fitted. Scope to include weld setups, squareness of setups, checking that steel is set to set out points back marks, etc. Checking for weld deformity which affects profile.
