Are you a proven Field Service leader ready to take ownership of a national engineering team within a growing, well-established industrial business? I’m supporting a market leading provider of industrial steam and thermal process equipment in the search for a Field Service Manager - a critical leadership role at the heart of their UK Service Division, supporting a large installed base across multiple industries. The Role You’ll lead a UK-wide team of 16–18 Field Service Engineers, driving performance, utilisation and service excellence across a geographically distributed function. This role sits within the senior UK management team and will play a key part in shaping service delivery, improving processes and supporting continued business growth. Key Responsibilities • Lead, develop and manage a national team of Field Service Engineers, • Drive effective deployment of engineers based on skills, location and customer demand, • Oversee scheduling to maximise utilisation and service efficiency, • Monitor KPIs, operational performance and service delivery standards, • Act as a technical escalation point for complex field issues, • Ensure high standards of H&S and compliance across all field activities, • Own performance management, training and ongoing development of engineers, • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, handling escalations when required, • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Projects and Service teams, • Drive continuous improvement across service operations What We’re Looking For • Proven experience in Field Service Management or senior engineering leadership, • Strong technical background in industrial plant, mechanical systems or process equipment, • Experience managing geographically dispersed engineering teams, • Strong organisational and operational leadership capability, • Commercial awareness with a focus on performance and KPI improvement, • Confident communicator — able to engage engineers, customers and senior stakeholders, • Structured, hands-on approach to leadership and problem solving, • Comfortable working with digital service platforms and reporting tools Technical Background (Highly Desirable) Experience in areas such as: • Steam boilers / steam generation systems, • Thermal fluid or heat transfer systems, • Industrial burners & combustion systems, • Heat recovery / energy systems, • PLC, SCADA or boiler management systems, • Pressure systems / PSSR compliance, • Industrial water treatment
