1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant. Year 2. Full time Some pupils need steady routines and someone who notices small signs of overwhelm. In this full time role, youll support a Year 2 child with sensory needs who learns best through visuals, short tasks, and calm communication. About the Role Youll work across the school day, adapting tasks to an early developmental level and helping the pupil manage moments of distraction. The child enjoys 'Numberblocks' and simple tablet activities, which can be used to build engagement. Key Responsibilities Provide dedicated 1:1 support in class and during transitions. Use visuals, first then boards, and short tasks to support focus. Adapt learning to an early developmental level. Support sensory regulation and calming routines. Work closely with teachers and the SENCO on consistent strategies. Bring practical ideas from your own SEN toolkit. What Were Looking For Experience supporting children with additional needs. Understanding sensory processing differences. Patience if the pupil pulls away from adult support. Ability to adapt tasks and simplify language. Full time availability with a quick start.
