Agile Project Manager Contract opportunity 3 month initial contract (likely extension) Based in Taunton Hybrid (3 days a week on-site) Paying between £420-£460 per day DOE Outside IR35 Agile Project Manager Job Summary : The Agile Project Manager will be responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating Agile project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering products that provide exceptional business value. This role will manage several concurrent high visibility projects using Agile methodologies in a fast-paced environment that may cross multiple business divisions. Key Responsibilities: • Agile Project Management:, • Lead and manage software development projects utilizing Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean., • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders., • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents., • Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget., • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques., • Team Leadership and Collaboration:, • Lead and motivate project team members and associated stakeholders to achieve project goals., • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospective meetings., • Ensure the development team is practicing the core Agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility., • Remove impediments and coach the team on removing impediments., • Stakeholder Management:, • Act as the point of contact for internal and external customers and stakeholders regarding project status and deliverables., • Manage stakeholder expectations through effective communication and ensure stakeholders are engaged and aware of the project’s progress and any obstacles that arise., • Communicate project risks and issues and provide mitigation strategies., • Continuous Improvement:, • Promote continuous improvement by adhering to Lean/Agile principles and practices., • Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and quality., • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in Agile frameworks., • Risk Management:, • Identify and manage project risks and develop mitigation plans., • Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues, and provide options to resolve. Qualifications & Skills: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field., • PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent Agile Project Management certification is highly desirable., • Minimum of years of experience in project management in an Agile environment., • Thorough understanding of Agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures., • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely., • Experience with project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, Confluence, or similar., • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams., • Self-motivated with the ability to adapt to changes and adjust priorities as required.
