This means there may be periods during the year where additional hours are required, particularly during school holidays or busy maintenance periods, while you will continue to receive the same monthly salary throughout the year. As the School Caretaker, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and upkeep of the school site, ensuring the buildings and grounds are safe, clean and well maintained. Duties will include carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs, undertaking regular health and safety checks, liaising with contractors when required, and ensuring compliance with relevant site procedures. The role may also involve opening and locking the school, responding to alarm call-outs where necessary, and supporting school events outside of normal working hours.
