Job Title: Leisure Attendant Actual Salary: £12.86 per hour (CLF Grade Aii) Contract Type: FTC 1/3/2027 Proposed Start Date: August 2026 We are looking for a Leisure Attendant to join our supportive and talented team at Monkton Wood Academy. The successful applicant will become a member of the CLF Leisure and Lettings team. This role is based at Monkton Wood Academy, Taunton. The contracted 5 hours per week can be discussed at interview, with a preference for Saturday availability. Additional overtime shifts are arranged 4–6 weeks in advance based on bookings and operational needs. Shifts are dependent on bookings. Shift length: typically 3–6 hours, unless pre‑agreed. Staff rotas are arranged approximately 4–6 weeks in advance based on your stated availability. Occasional last‑minute cover may be offered to support staff absence. The site is closed for approximately 2 weeks over Christmas and on public holidays. At the end of the fixed term MAT period in March 2027, employment could be transferred to a casual role on a zero‑hours basis, if agreed. • Support bookings and assist customers., • Prepare activity spaces and maintain safe, clean, well‑maintained facilities., • Provide a welcoming and professional environment for sports clubs, fitness classes, community groups, and private bookings., • Participate in planning for site operational needs and cover last‑minute shifts as required. Applicants should have an interest in sport and physical activity, and a dedication to customer‑focused service.
