You will play a key role in supporting operational performance by carrying out site audits, monitoring safety, quality and productivity standards, and ensuring work is completed within agreed timescales. • Manage the day-to-day activities of engineers and technicians across the operational area., • Take responsibility for the effective management of vehicles, plant, equipment and site resources., • Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and within agreed timescales., • Act as the key liaison between office-based teams and field-based operational staff., • Work closely with the management team to ensure work is appropriately pre-planned and pre-sited where required., • Monitor workforce productivity and operational performance., • Identify operational risks and resolve issues before they escape., • Provide proactive daily updates and operational reports to the management team., • Support recruitment activities, including interviewing and onboarding new field-based employees., • Promote continuous improvement across operational activities and service delivery., • Monitor engineer and technician performance against Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards., • Ensure Company policies, procedures and improvement plans are effectively implemented and followed., • Promote a positive safety culture and ensure safe working practices are maintained at all times., • Ensure all incidents, near misses and safety concerns are reported and investigated., • Conduct site inspections and audits to verify compliance and identify improvement opportunities., • Monitor safety performance and support corrective actions where necessary., • Operate in line with Company policies, procedures and strategic objectives., • Support the delivery of high-quality services that meet contractual and customer expectations., • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, operational teams, suppliers and stakeholders., • Act as a key point of contact between clients and operational teams., • Attend client sites and support client audits where required., • Ensure excellent customer service is delivered across all operational activities., • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of works., • Resolve issues quickly and professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction is maintained., • Foster collaborative relationships with both existing and prospective clients., • Previous experience within the Utilities and/or Drainage Industry., • Experience working within hard facilities management environments is desirable., • SSSTS qualification., • IOSH Managing Safely qualification., • NRSWA (Street Works) qualification desirable., • MET certification preferred., • Full UK Driving Licence., • Proven experience in a supervisory or field management role within the Utilities sector, preferably Drainage., • Strong understanding of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements., • Experience working within a customer-focused environment., • Knowledge of wastewater and drainage network operations., • Strong people management and team leadership skills., • Experience conducting return-to-work interviews, investigations and performance management activities., • IT literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications., • Ability to support and encourage employee development and continuous learning., • Experience building collaborative relationships with clients, suppliers and colleagues., • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels of an organisation., • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to deliver against deadlines., • Professional, positive and customer-focused approach., • Self-motivated, organised and able to work using your own initiative., • Flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities., • Strong team player with a collaborative working style.
