Onsite AV Engineer ClearVC – Manchester City Centre (Customer Site) Join Our Team as an Onsite AV Engineer at a Leading Manchester Corporate HQ Are you a skilled AV professional with a passion for delivering exceptional technical support in a high-end corporate environment? ClearVC is seeking an Onsite AV Engineer to be embedded at a prestigious customer site in Manchester City Centre, providing seamless AV support for senior stakeholders, internal teams, and high-profile visitors. This full-time position offers 40 hours per week, working between 8am and 6pm (with early/late shift rotations), plus potential for paid overtime. There will from time to time be a requirement to travel to other locations (London and Hemel Offices as required by the client. As part of a dedicated onsite AV team, you will take full ownership of supporting and maintaining a wide range of AV and VC technologies deployed across the client’s high-end meeting spaces, collaboration areas, and event venues. This includes the management and support of Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR), BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) solutions, Apple macOS environments, large-scale LED displays, and integrated AV solutions across a variety of spaces—from intimate huddle rooms to fully equipped large-scale event areas. Two dedicated event spaces are central to the site, each featuring complex AV technology requiring a confident, highly skilled engineer. You will be responsible for managing these environments, delivering high-quality audio and visual experiences for in-person and hybrid audiences. You will bring hands-on experience with advanced sound systems, acoustic tuning, and third-party AV integrations, ensuring exceptional performance for each event. Beyond technical support, this role demands someone forward-thinking capable of using data and analytics to optimise the performance and usage of AV spaces, while helping shape the future evolution of these environments in collaboration with the client. In addition, you will work closely with creative and communications teams to help drive engaging content across the entire office estate, using various platforms. Your role will include guiding content teams to produce effective, scalable visual media for screens of all sizes and formats, minimising production overhead while ensuring a consistent and visually compelling experience throughout the building. You will also liaise regularly with the client’s IT and facilities teams, as well as ClearVC’s remote support and engineering teams, to ensure consistent service delivery, identify improvement opportunities, and contribute to an ongoing programme of AV innovation and optimisation. Key Responsibilities • Deliver excellent customer service, assisting users with their AV and technology requirements., • Set up, operate, and support AV systems for meetings and live events, ensuring high-quality performance., • Maintain and support Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR), AV control systems (e.g., Crestron), and videoconferencing solutions., • Monitor and proactively manage room technology to ensure uptime and availability., • Act as the face of ClearVC onsite, liaising with the customer’s IT, facilities, and leadership teams to ensure AV needs are met., • Work collaboratively with ClearVC’s central service and engineering teams for escalations and planned works., • Maintain accurate records of room assets, incidents, and service activities. What You’ll Need • Proven experience in a similar onsite AV/VC technician or engineering role within corporate environments., • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Teams Rooms, Crestron, Q-SYS, LED Displays and Apple MAC os., • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset., • Ability to remain calm under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and prioritise effectively., • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a commitment to high service standards., • Technical AV qualifications or manufacturer certifications (desirable).
