Project Manager – Construction Consultancy Justice Sector (MoJ) Suffolk | Hybrid working (2/3 days on site) Salary £52,000 - £60,000 We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a leading consultancy-led delivery team supporting one of the UK’s most significant Ministry of Justice capital programmes. This role sits at the heart of a major custodial development programme, working alongside an alliance framework contractor and a highly experienced professional team. The programme is construction-led, technically complex and makes extensive use of modern methods of construction, standardised design and repeatable delivery models. The Opportunity Acting as a trusted advisor to the client, you will provide end-to-end project management and construction oversight, from procurement strategy through to on-site delivery. You will play a key role in governance, programme assurance and commercial control, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with strategic objectives. Hybrid working applies, with a requirement to be on site a minimum of two days per week, balancing client-facing delivery with consultancy-based planning and reporting. Key Responsibilities • Leading project management commissions from brief through construction and handover, • Providing consultancy advice on programme controls, procurement strategy and risk mitigation, • Coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and managing contractor interfaces, • Driving construction delivery performance, quality assurance and site governance, • Managing budgets, cost certainty and NEC4 contract administration, • Supporting the Project Lead in shaping strategy and maintaining senior client relationships, • Championing collaboration, innovation and best-practice construction methodologies About You • Ideally chartered or working towards chartership (RICS, CIOB, APM or ICE), • Strong background in construction consultancy-led project management with significant construction-phase experience, • Proven track record delivering complex public sector, justice or infrastructure projects, • High level of commercial awareness with hands-on NEC4 contract experience, • Confident engaging with senior stakeholders, contractors and delivery partners, • Strong understanding of sustainability, carbon reduction and compliance requirements within UK construction Why Join? • Deliver nationally significant justice-sector infrastructure, • Operate as a trusted client-side consultant with real influence over delivery outcomes, • Work within a mature, high-performing project management environment, • Gain exposure to major construction programmes using modern delivery methods
