We are seeking a Regional Occupational Therapist to join our established Regional Occupational Therapy team, supporting up to four specialist services within our Learning Disability and Autism division. Reporting to the Regional Lead Occupational Therapist, you will benefit from regular supervision, professional support, and opportunities to collaborate with fellow Occupational Therapists, while enjoying the autonomy to manage your own workload and shape Occupational Therapy provision across multiple sites. This role combines the flexibility of home working, regional travel, and clinical leadership with the support of an experienced and collaborative professional team. This creates an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Therapist who enjoys independent working but values strong professional support and teamwork. This is a regional role covering services across Yorkshire & Humber, the Midlands, Nottinghamshire, and Lincolnshire . Site allocation will be discussed and agreed based on the successful candidate's location, enabling a practical and sustainable travel arrangement. The role combines regular site visits with the flexibility of home working between visits. What you will be doing As a Regional Occupational Therapist, you will: Deliver high-quality Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions. Provide specialist OT advice, recommendations, and clinical guidance. Produce professional reports, assessments, and documentation. Complete risk assessments and develop protocols relating to equipment and therapeutic activities. Support service managers, multidisciplinary teams, and support staff with specialist occupational therapy input. Deliver training and education to staff teams to promote best practice. Recommend and advise on appropriate aids, adaptations, and physical healthcare interventions where required. Contribute to service development and the ongoing enhancement of occupational therapy provision. Manage your own workload and work autonomously across multiple services. About the role Regional position covering up to four services. Requirement to travel regularly between services. Four site visits expected per week. Home working between visits. Flexible and autonomous working arrangement. Annual car allowance of £5,000. Mileage expenses paid. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential. What you will bring To be successful in this role, you will have: Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy. Current HCPC registration. Experience completing occupational therapy assessments and interventions. Excellent communication and report-writing skills. The ability to work independently and manage a varied workload. Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills. A passion for supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs.
