    We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Japanese cuisine, particularly sushi preparation, and possess excellent organisational and communication skills. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your craftsmanship in a dynamic environment dedicated to authentic flavours and high-quality service. The Sushi Chef will be responsible for preparing, presenting, and maintaining the highest standards of sushi dishes while ensuring a clean and efficient work environment. Duties • Prepare a variety of sushi dishes according to traditional recipes and customer specifications, • Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and used efficiently, • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the sushi preparation area in compliance with health and safety regulations, • Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional dining experiences, • Educate junior staff or trainees on sushi techniques and presentation standards, • Manage inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste, • Uphold high standards of hygiene, food safety, and sanitation at all times, • Assist in menu development by suggesting new sushi creations or improvements Requirements • Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role within a busy restaurant environment, • Fluency in English, with strong communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and customers, • Organisational skills to manage multiple orders efficiently during peak hours, • Knowledge of IT systems related to inventory management or ordering is desirable, • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail, • Excellent organisational skills for maintaining cleanliness and stock control, • Basic plumbing knowledge is advantageous for handling kitchen equipment maintenance, • Teaching experience or the ability to train junior staff is a plus, • Strong interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and customer satisfaction
