My client is a fast-growing service business based in the Knutsford area. Due to continued growth, there is a need for a Management Accountant. This is a new created role due to growth. The role offers a genuine opportunity to shape processes, add value, and build strong financial foundations across multiple operating businesses within the Group. The right candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering timely, accurate, and insightful financial information — supporting both operational leadership and Group reporting requirements. This position offers exposure across the business and the chance to act as a trusted finance partner to key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities 1. Financial Reporting & Month-End • Completion of month-end close process from start to finish across multiple operating entities, • Production of accurate P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements, with journal posting and maintenance of a full trial balance, in addition to production of supporting material, including completion of balance sheet reconciliations and Group reporting packs, • Support and review sales invoicing process, ensuring the process is completed accurately, is recognised appropriately and ties through to financial statements, • Take responsibility for the production of audit information and liaise with external auditors to ensure effective completion of the audit process for your entities, • Support statutory accounts preparation and tax compliance (Corporation Tax and VAT), • Support the FP&A Manager with budgeting and forecasting processes, • Prepare and maintain weekly cash flow forecasts, ensuring visibility of short- and medium-term liquidity, • Ensure adherence to Group policies and financial controls, • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency, accuracy and control, • Support the development, optimisation, and automation of finance systems, including effective usage of Microsoft Business Central and leveraging of AI to drive controlled improvements, • Assist with system upgrades, testing, and the rollout of new finance technologies across the Group, • Support wider Group Finance initiatives and ad-hoc strategic projects The right candidate for the role will be: • Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload, • Technically competent with a desire to further your development, • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills, • Commercially aware and confident communicating with non-finance stakeholders, • Motivated to improve processes and drive efficiencies Experience & Qualifications • Qualified accountant (recognised accountancy qualification), • Strong Excel skills (essential), • Experience within a Group structure and/or professional services environment (advantageous) In return this role offers a competitive package and a real opportunity to develop as the business grows
