Fully remote role \n Digital Appointments is working with a growing multi-entity healthcare organisation to appoint a Management Accountant into a newly created role. \n The group has expanded quickly and they have outgrown the current setup, and they need a qualified accountant to take ownership of group reporting, bring structure to the month-end process, and give the leadership team proper visibility on how each site is performing. \n This is a role with real scope. You'll inherit a bookkeeper to supervise and develop, and the business has been open from the outset that they want this person to grow into Financial Controller and build a team beneath them. \n What you'll be doing \n\n • Owning month-end close across eight entities\n, • Producing consolidated management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow\n, • Managing intercompany accounting, recharges and reconciliations\n, • Delivering site-level performance reporting and margin analysis\n, • Building budgets and rolling forecasts, with clear variance commentary\n, • Supervising and developing the group bookkeeper\n, • Improving finance processes, controls and systems as the group scales\n, • Preparing VAT returns and year-end files, and managing the relationship with the external accountants\n\n What they're looking for \n\n • Qualified accountant — ACA, ACCA or CIMA (strong QBE candidates with the right group background will be considered\n, • Proven multi-entity experience, including intercompany and consolidation\n, • Experience mentoring, reviewing or supervising a junior colleague\n, • Strong Excel skills and comfort working across multiple systems\n, • Able to translate the numbers for a non-finance audience\n, • Self-motivated, with the discipline to work well remotely\n\n Experience within healthcare, veterinary, or another multi-site service group would be an advantage, but it isn't essential — the multi-entity and supervisory experience matters more. \n Why this one is worth a look \n\n • Fully remote, with occasional travel to the head office near Manchester\n, • Genuine, stated progression to Financial Controller\n, • Newly created role — you'll shape the finance function rather than inherit someone else's\n, • Profitable, growing group with an owner who's invested in getting finance right\n\n For immediate consideration.
