Light On The Common has have a deserved reputation of serving amazing coffee, with great service and amazing food. We are looking for a barista/ bar tender to join our team. You would work mainly day shifts but some evenings will be required. You must have a passion for great coffee, be punctual, hardworking, a team player and be prepared to help on the floor and bar if needed.

DAY TIME SHIFTS • Greeting customers as they settle down at the restaurant tables and introducing them to the menus, • Taking the customers’ orders and delivering them to the kitchen staff for preparation, • Confirming that the food items match the orders and delivering them at the tables, • Inquiring if the customers are satisfied, giving bills and processing payments, • Operating the drink fountain and coffee station, • Good knowledge of cocktails

Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other specialty beverages according to company recipes and standards. Greet customers, take accurate orders, and provide recommendations as needed. Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewing equipment, and point-of-sale (POS) systems. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including regular cleaning of equipment and café spaces. Manage cash and credit transactions with accuracy and integrity. Restock inventory, monitor supplies, and assist with daily café operations. Deliver excellent customer service by creating a welcoming and engaging atmosphere. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient service, especially during peak hours.

30-40 hours a week, £12.50- £13.50 per hour + cash tips, 2 days OFF.
