Laundress / Housekeeper - UHNW Private Household Central London | £45,000 - £50,000 DOE Monday to Friday | 10am - 7pm | Temp to Perm Trials commencing mid-October \n An UHNW private family is seeking an experienced and polished Laundress to join their small, friendly and well established household team in Central London. \n This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Laundress, who has a real passion for laundry, wardrobe care and maintaining beautiful standards within a luxury home. The successful candidate will take primary responsibility for the family's laundry and wardrobe care, with a particular focus on the correct handling of luxury garments, delicate fabrics and high end clothing. You will also need to be happy to be hands on with light housekeeping and evening service duties towards the end of the day when the family are at home. \n The household comprises three adults, one young child and a baby, and is supported by an established team including a full time Housekeeper, House Assistant, Nanny, Chef, Family PA and Chief of Staff. \n The standard hours are Monday to Friday, 10am - 7pm. The family would also consider someone looking for 11am - 7pm and/or four days per week, although Monday and Friday availability would be essential. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Taking full responsibility for the family's laundry, including hand washing, machine washing, steaming and ironing\n, • Expert care of luxury garments, delicate fabrics and designer clothing\n, • Liaising with external dry cleaners and managing specialist laundry requirements\n, • Maintaining beautifully organised family wardrobes\n, • Assisting with setting the table and preparing the home for dinner\n, • Clearing away and resetting the home following dinner\n, • Providing evening turndown service\n, • Assisting with general housekeeping as required, including vacuuming, mopping, bathroom cleaning and tidying\n, • Working closely and collaboratively with the wider household team\n, • Maintaining the highest standards of discretion, presentation and attention to detail throughout\n\n The Ideal Candidate \n The successful candidate will have proven experience within a private household, ideally within a small team, and will be confident working to exceptionally high standards. \n You will have: \n\n • Excellent knowledge of luxury laundry and garment care\n, • A meticulous eye for detail and pride in your work\n, • Previous experience within a private family household\n, • A good level of English\n, • A warm, discreet and professional manner\n, • The confidence and flexibility to work within a busy household\n, • A calm and positive approach\n, • Excellent references and a strong employment history\n, • An easy and reliable commute to NW1\n, • Enhanced DBS\n\n This would suit an experienced Housekeeper/Laundress who enjoys working as part of a small, professional household team and takes genuine pride in delivering exceptional standards. \n Please note that we cannot guarantee a response to every application
